WidgetBox

Every blogger needs widgets. They're tools for sharing information about your activities on your site. Once you place a widget on your site, you or your readers can copy a code for the widget and insert that code on another site. The code then creates a link back to your site and makes the widget for your site appear where you, or your readers placed it on other sites. Widgets are effective and powerful tools because the help the search engines locate you and rank your pages which can improve your ranking in search engines. They also help your audience find you on other sites they are visiting. Both results are beneficial because they help you build your audience by making it convenient for your readers. Widgetbox is a service that allows you to build your own widgets and distribute them on the web.

Professional Networks

Members of social networks like Squidoo, Facebook, and Ning use them in many ways. Uses fall into three broad categories. Individuals use them for sharing personal interests with friends. Others use them for small business or professional purposes. Some people use them for both.

Corporate or enterprise use of social networks is a third class of use many social networks occupy. LinkedIn is one such social site.

Nintendo Wii Games

Keywords are an essential strategy for marketing your product or service online. This is true if you're a small business or a large corporation. Nintendo is no exception. Since the Wii was released, fans of Nintendo games like the Rayman Raving Rabbids Go Home family game have scoured the web looking for information.

Online marketers optimize their web pages by using keywords. Tools like the Google Keyword finder allow you to research Google data to identify the terms (keywords) consumers use to search for product reviews and price comparisons.

Using the right combination of keywords for your product can make it easier for consumers to find your website and your products! It's important to experiment by combining different keywords in your publications to see what types of results each combination brings.

You can read about one such experiment at Squidlog.net/Interlochencorners. It describes a strategy for targeting a market niche using one such keyword combination.

2010 Winter Olympics

Inukshuks are a symbol of the 2010 Winter Olympics. You can find them in nature along side roads and trails as markers to help you navigate. They are similar to cairns, locations where people cache items they know they will need when traveling past the same spot in the future. Usually, Inukshuks do not mark a cache of food or supplies though.

Both Inukshuks and cairns are stacked stones. What makes an Inukshuk distinct from a cairn is its purpose.

An Inukshuk is a symbol of humanity. It expresses the nature of the human spirit. For more information, visit All About Inukshuks, a Squidoo Lens.
